Editor’s observe: All through July, we’re internet hosting 31 Days with St. Ignatiusa month-long celebration of Ignatian spirituality. Along with the calendar of Ignatian articles found here, posts on dotMagis this month will discover the theme of “folks for others.” This month marks the fiftieth anniversary of Fr. Pedro Arrupe’s well-known handle through which he challenged Jesuit college alumni to kind what we now embrace as “folks for others.”

Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ, described how the promotion of justice was a constitutive factor of the Church’s mission. He expressed his hope that Jesuit college alumni would hearken to the dwelling God, assume with the Church, and comply with Jesus Christ, the last word man for others.
